Truck rental trends in March 2025 showed mixed performance across major routes, continuing February’s pattern. The Delhi-Mumbai-Delhi route saw a 1.3% increase, reaching ₹1,58,000 for an 18-tonne truck, while Delhi-Kolkata-Delhi saw a 1.3% decline to ₹1,55,000.

The Delhi-Bengaluru-Delhi route rose by 5%, reaching ₹2,20,500, but the Delhi-Chennai-Delhi route dropped by 5.2% to ₹199,000. Rental rates remained stable on some routes, like Mumbai-Chennai-Mumbai and Kolkata-Guwahati-Kolkata. Year-on-year, the Kolkata-Guwahati corridor saw a 13% rise, while Delhi-Chennai dropped by 7%.

Challenges include higher toll charges from April 2025, and truck operators are seeking reductions in fuel and tire prices as global crude prices fall.
