The Government of India has opened the PM GatiShakti portal to the private sector, marking a major step toward a data-driven logistics ecosystem. Developed by BISAG-N and powered by the National Geospatial Data Registry, the public version provides access to 230 datasets covering railways, highways, ports, warehouses, and more.

This will enable smarter infrastructure planning, optimized logistics routes, and informed investments. The move promotes public-private collaboration, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and real-time planning.

With tools like the PMGS NMP Dashboard and Knowledge Management System, the platform aims to reduce logistics costs to 8% of GDP and drive India toward becoming a $5 trillion economy through integrated, multi-modal, and sustainable logistics development.
