India’s Logistics & Industrial Leasing Soars to 30.7 MSF in H1 2025
India’s logistics and industrial real estate sector demonstrated robust growth in H1 2025, with gross leasing rising 21.6% YoY to 30.7 MSF, marking a 12.1% increase over H2 2024, according to Cushman & Wakefield.
This is the third consecutive year that annual leasing has exceeded 50 MSF, positioning the sector to surpass 60 MSF by year-end.
Warehousing remained dominant at 21.9 MSF (71.3%), while industrial leasing contributed 8.8 MSF.
Engineering & Manufacturing led demand with 9.7 MSF (32%), followed by 3PL at 24%, and e-commerce, which surged 158% YoY.
At the city level, Mumbai led with 7.0 MSF, while Ahmedabad recorded the highest growth at 192%.
With ~25 MSF of Grade-A supply in the pipeline, coupled with rising manufacturing and expanding e-commerce, the sector is set to maintain strong momentum.
