India Strengthens Logistics Infrastructure Amid Global Shift from Efficiency to Resilience

Amid global disruptions like rising tariffs, Middle East conflicts, and shifting trade routes, India is strengthening its logistics infrastructure to boost economic resilience.

Unlike global supply chains hit by geopolitical instability, India’s logistics sector remains stable, driven by robust domestic demand. Knight Frank’s Q1 2025 report shows a 50% YoY rise in warehousing leases, led by manufacturing (up 94%) and e-commerce (up 151%).

While 3PL volumes grew 12%, their share declined to 23%, indicating changing dynamics. India is also enhancing global trade links, as seen in the India–UAE Trade Connect under CEPA launched in May 2025, spurring warehousing demand in port cities like Mundra and Nhava Sheva. This positions India as a resilient logistics hub amid global uncertainty.
