India’s transport sector is moving toward sustainability through biofuels, electric vehicles, and renewable energy, said Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari at the Panchajanya Infra Confluence 2025.

He emphasized balancing rapid development with environmental protection. Highlighting the 22 lakh crore-rupee automobile industry—the world’s third-largest after China and the US—he noted it provides nearly four crore jobs.

Gadkari added that converting stubble into biofuels can reduce Delhi’s pollution, generate farmer income, create youth opportunities, boost the economy, and support eco-friendly development.
