Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that the Department of Posts (DoP) has transformed into a modern logistics and digital powerhouse focused on citizen-centric services.

Between June 2024 and September 2025, DoP achieved major milestones — 3.57 crore Aadhaar updates, 43 lakh passports processed, and 3.5 crore IPPB accounts opened, 59% for women. The department now operates under six verticals supported by technology and finance enablers.

Through IT 2.0 and partnerships with e-commerce firms, India Post offers services like 24-hour post, Parcel E2E, and international Direct Line delivery. The launch of DIGIPIN, a digital addressing system, marks a major leap in e-governance, logistics precision, and last-mile connectivity under the Viksit Bharat vision.
