How Road Logistics Firms Can Gear Up for Delhi Ban on Non-BS6, Non-CNG, and Non-EV Commercial Vehicles
Starting November 1, 2025, Delhi will ban non-BS6, non-CNG, and non-EV commercial vehicles under its Air Pollution Mitigation Plan 2025. Logistics companies must audit and upgrade fleets, prioritize BS6, CNG, or EV adoption, and leverage government subsidies.
Route optimization and infrastructure investments in EV charging and CNG refueling are crucial. Driver training, emission compliance, and clear stakeholder communication are essential. Temporary exemptions for essential goods vehicles apply until October 31, 2026.
Challenges include high costs, infrastructure gaps, and potential supply chain disruptions. Despite hurdles, the move presents an opportunity for logistics firms to modernize, cut emissions, and align with India’s clean mobility push, ensuring long-term sustainability and operational resilience.
