Andhra Pradesh Clears AP LInC to Develop a Major East Coast Logistics Hub

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved the formation of the Andhra Pradesh Logistics Infrastructure Corporation (AP-LInC) to position the State as a top east coast logistics hub.

AP-LInC will act as the central agency integrating ports, airports, highways, inland waterways and cold-chain systems to reduce logistics costs and attract global investment. The State will also set up district-level logistics cells, a Logistics University and a Civil Aviation University.

Naidu reiterated his vision of making Andhra Pradesh the “Gateway of the East Coast.” With six operational ports and four under construction, the government plans a port or fishing harbour every 50 km along its 1,050-km coastline. The State aims to raise logistics’ GSDP share from 1% to 3%.
