India’s Logistics Costs Expected to Fall to 9% by December 2025: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that India’s logistics cost is expected to fall to around 9% by December 2025, boosting industrial profitability and global competitiveness.

Speaking at a PHDCCI event, he cited an IIM Bangalore study showing a 5–6% decline in logistics costs due to the expansion of the national highway network and a 1.33% reduction in the warehouse-to-consumer segment.

Gadkari highlighted that continued infrastructure development and multimodal connectivity are crucial to achieving logistics costs below 10% of GDP, aligning India with global benchmarks.
