Enhanced Logistics Data Bank System

Government Launches Enhanced Logistics Data Bank System

The government has launched the second version of the Logistics Data Bank System to enable real-time tracking of export containers on high seas and truck movement across India.

Developed by NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDSL), the upgraded system offers multi-modal visibility across road, rail, and sea, helping improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs.

It features a live container heatmap to monitor distribution and address bottlenecks. NICDC CEO Rajat Kumar Saini said the system will enhance supply chain planning, regulatory compliance, and global credibility for exporters.

He also noted that work on 11 of the 12 new industrial cities approved by the Union Cabinet is set to begin by December, with a total investment of ₹28,602 crore.
