India Extends RoDTEP Export Incentive Scheme Until March 2026 to Support Exporters
The Indian government has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP) scheme until March 2026, as per a commerce ministry notification.
Initially set to expire on September 30, the scheme refunds exporters for unrebated taxes and levies at central, state, and local levels, helping lower manufacturing and export costs.
The extension follows rising global trade pressures, including the U.S. doubling tariffs on Indian goods like textiles, leather, and food items.
Covering over 10,000 products across sectors such as agriculture, textiles, and engineering, RoDTEP offers rebates of 1–4% of product value. The move aims to sustain exporter competitiveness, strengthen manufacturing, and counter global trade challenges.
