Delhi to Launch Logistics & Warehousing Policy 2025
The Delhi government is set to launch its Logistics and Warehousing Policy 2025 within 15 days, aiming to modernize urban freight systems and reduce pollution.
Announced by Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the policy focuses on developing logistics hubs, green freight corridors, and tech-driven solutions. Key reforms include 24×7 logistics park operations, digital delivery management systems, and simplified licenses.
Delhi handles over 10 lakh tonnes of freight daily via 1.93 lakh vehicles, contributing to congestion and air pollution. The policy proposes relocating warehouses to peripheral zones and creating Urban Consolidation Centres. It also promotes EVs and CNG vehicles for last-mile delivery, aiming to ease traffic and improve air quality in key hotspots like Azadpur and Karol Bagh.
