A ₹753 crore, 4-lane bypass project connecting NH-75 and NH-38 to Vellore town in Tamil Nadu has been approved. Spanning 20.492 km, this greenfield alignment aims to reduce congestion in Vellore city. The land acquisition will follow a 50-meter Right of Way, allowing future expansion to a 6-lane carriageway with service roads.

The bypass will incorporate adequate cross-drainage systems and bridge structures to mitigate flooding risks in the area. The project, announced by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, is designed to enhance traffic flow while preparing for future infrastructural growth.
